There are thousands of Welsh coastal cottages scattered over hundreds of miles of Welsh coastline from south-east Wales right the way around St. David's, up the long west coast, Snowdonia, around the Lleyn Peninsula and east again past Anglesey and over northern Snowdonia. Each of these Welsh coastal cottages will have its own unique set of characteristics.

It really all depends what you want out of your holiday on the Welsh coast. Holidays in north, south and west Welsh coastal cottages will all be slightly different. in the south you will have ready access to Cardiff and its history, museums, architecture and night life or you could choose the relative seclusion of south-west Wales.

Holidays in western Welsh coastal cottages will give you access to beautiful expanses of clean seas and beaches and, depending on where you go, far more opportunities for seclusion, although because Wales is so small, you are never far from a town by car, if you are on the coast.

Welsh coastal cottages in north Wales would offer a slightly different holiday again. More people than in south-west Wales, access to more tourism and a slightly different culture to the south Walians. The countryside and coastal views are fantastic too.

No matter which of the Welsh coastal cottages you choose, you will have great sea views and access to beautiful inland scenery too. The mountains are never far away in Wales and mountains means wild, rugged landscapes dotted with almost wild sheep.

You could choose one of the Welsh coastal cottages that is dominated by magnificent mountains yet near to hidden coves, bays and caves on the coast. Or you could pick one of the Welsh coastal cottages that is surrounded by gentle rolling countryside and near a lush river valley.

Wales is unique in that it has the only coastal National Park in the United Kingdom which is influenced by the Gulf Stream. This stimulates a mild Atlantic climate for an all year round holiday. The land, sea and sky are so beautiful all year around no matter what the weather is doing that they have inspired many great artists and photographers.

There is an abundance of wild life, history, physical activities, and art galleries waiting for you to discover them on your forays out of one of the many beautiful Welsh coastal cottages.

Fishing and sailing are also very popular sports throughout Wales and none of the Welsh coastal cottages will be far from some kind of harbour where you can either hire a boat or go on a charter trip.
